• Help Desk Technician/Server Technician System
Administrator Created User computer accounts, which entailed adding them into
remedy to be created. Troubleshot a minimum of 1,000 computers, with such
issues as: Network connectivity problems, Software issues/installation, Share
Drive permission issue, etc. I also have experience running CAT5 network
cable. Performed windows server 2003,
Windows Server 2008, Windows exchange server 2003, Active Directory and
Windows NT server management, maintenance and backups. Configured a Virtual
Share Drive on the Server to service 400 users. • Plan and deliver customer support services, including
the installation and configuration of hardware and software for computer
equipment; troubleshooting, customer assistance, and desk-side instruction,
in response to customer requirements. . Configured client software to enable
remote network access and maintained user and computer accounts in Active
Directory. Imaged both Windows XP and Vista systems with the most current
Army image and ensured all IAVA patches were up to date in order to eliminate
known vulnerabilities. Tracked all work orders thru a Microsoft Access
database. Worked 40 hours a week.
• I worked for TEKsystems which is a IT Temp agency on a
three week job for Hollister in Vernon Hills, Illinois. While working for
Hollister I was tasked with the creation of User accounts, Imaging and
deploying Laptops for new hires. I was also tasked with servicing, completing
and, closing users Help desk tickets. Most tickets involved installations of
software needed for the customers to do their job. • My current position with TEKsystems is working on The
Great Lakes Naval Base in North Chicago for HP on the NMCI contract. As a CSR
(Customer Support Representative) for NMCI we use Service Manager 9 for our
ticket management system. My work consisted of Imaging desktops and laptops,
Troubleshooting connectivity issues with computers and printers, troubleshooting
other various issues with computers and printers, and also repairing and
replacing computer and printer hardware. For Imaging computers we used a
program called OSD ( Operating System Deployment), and with this tool we
imaged the computers over the network. We service thousands of
customers and work quickly to reduce their down time so they can do their job
